I'm Belinda, a Foot Health Practitioner with over 20 years' experience caring for feet across Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, based at Fairford Therapy Centre and home visiting within a 5 mile radius of Faringdon. My work is focused entirely on routine, non-surgical foot care — nail trimming, corns, callus, fungal conditions, verrucae, and everyday foot comfort — delivered gently, unhurried, and with your comfort and independence in mind.
Every appointment is private and relaxed, using sterile instruments and up-to-date, evidence-based technique, and I'm fully insured throughout. I'm not a podiatrist and don't perform surgery — what I offer is dedicated, considerate care for the foot health concerns most people need looked after, regularly and well.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my partner, walking in the countryside, and spending time with my two cats, Bella and Shadow.

Most patients come to me for routine foot care — corns, callus, fungal toenails and skin, verrucae, and nail trimming, including non-surgical ingrown nails and thickened nails. All of it is managed within a routine appointment, no referral needed.
A first appointment includes a full medical review, tailored treatment plan, and initial treatment. Returning patients within 12 months pay less for follow-up, and there's an express clinic-only option ideal for a quick nail trim or single corn removal. If it's been over 12 months since your last visit, a reassessment from archive applies.
For stubborn conditions, I also offer two specialist treatments once you've been assessed as suitable: the Lacuna method for fungal nails, which creates tiny micro-holes so antifungal medication can reach the infection at the nail bed; and Verrutop for verrucae, applied after removing hard skin, usually every two weeks over three to six sessions.

Both FHPs, Podiatrists and Chiropodists support people with their foot health, but the training and scope differ. When "Podiatrist/Chiropodist" became a protected title in 2005/6, the Foot Health Practitioner role was introduced for diploma-trained practitioners focused on routine care — nail trimming, corns, calluses, fungal issues, verrucae, and support for well-controlled diabetics.
I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner in 2004, so this has been my focus for over two decades. Podiatrists are degree-trained, can perform minor surgery, and treat higher-risk patients. If your needs sit within routine, non-surgical care, an FHP is often the right fit — and that's exactly what I'm here for.
For new patients, I'll take a full medical, medication, and lifestyle history — returning patients simply have their details reviewed and updated. Everything is collected privately and stored securely. I'll then carry out a visual, and where appropriate hands-on, assessment before agreeing a treatment plan with you, so you always know what to expect and why.
Simple concerns like corns, callus, and minor nail issues are usually sorted in one session. Recurring conditions such as verrucae or fungal infections often need an ongoing plan, which we'd agree together. Most patients benefit from regular routine visits — much like dental or eye check-ups, ongoing foot care plays a real part in staying comfortable, mobile, and well.

I'm available by appointment only: Tuesdays 09:30–16:00 in Fairford (home visits in the morning, clinic in the afternoon), and Wednesdays and Thursdays 09:30–16:00 in Faringdon (home visits only).
Email me at [email protected] or call me directly. I'll get back to you to confirm a slot that suits the clinic or a home visit, depending on your location and preference.
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange — this protects the time set aside for you and lets me offer that slot to another patient. Cancellations under 48 hours are charged at 50%, under 24 hours or non-attendance at 100%. If something genuinely unexpected comes up, get in touch as soon as you can — I'll always look at it sympathetically.
No referral is needed. All routine foot care — nail trimming, corns, callus, fungal conditions, verrucae, and non-surgical ingrown or thickened nails — is managed within a standard appointment.
Available by appointment only. Book online instantly, or use the form and I'll confirm a slot that suits you.
